La Isla’s is a responsible Australian Labradoodle breeder. Our puppies are registered with the international breed association WALA, health and temperament tested, and are descendants of purebred Australian Labradoodle parents.

I breed both medium and mini Australian Labradoodles on a small scale at our home in Raisio. Breeding is my passion. I constantly strive to learn more and develop this charming breed.

As a Finnish breeder, I have established a company for this activity and registered with the international breed association WALA.  I am committed to WALA’s rules and the requirements set for breeding dogs, and I act ethically and responsibly in all our activities in order to ensure the continued favorable development of the breed. Both our breeding and pet puppies are registered with WALA.

WALA has abandoned the mandatory neutering requirement as of 2026. I sell puppies under a so-called breeding ban agreement and encourage all puppy buyers to join in the development of this charming breed by paying part of the health testing costs for pet dogs.

All our breeding dogs undergo the health tests required by WALA. Together with other breeders, I also assess the character and general suitability for breeding of the “future hopefuls” that are currently growing up.

All dogs intended for breeding undergo DNA profiling at 1-2 years of age to verify their parents and pedigree. The information is stored in the WALA database, where we can check their health records, previous litters, etc.  The inbreeding coefficient of a breeding dog may be a maximum of 5%; in Finland, this value is usually even lower, at 1-3%. They also undergo genetic testing to avoid common hereditary diseases. We also examine our dogs’ hips, elbows, and knees to ensure that they meet WALA’s requirements. We also X-ray their backs, even though this is not a requirement. In addition, we examine our dogs’ eyes. The official eye examination is repeated every 18 months. After these examinations, we can then make a decision, together with a character assessment, as to whether this particular dog is suitable for breeding.

My goal is to breed good-natured, lively, and healthy Australian Labradoodles as pet dogs for loving Finnish homes.
